The mission of the Great Lakes Green Chemistry Network is to create partnerships between academia, industry, government, labor, and non-governmental organizations to promote green chemistry practice in the bi-national Great Lakes region.
 
The work of the Great Lakes Green Chemistry Network is supported by a grant from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Great Lakes National Program Office with technical and administrative support from Great Lakes United, an international organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River ecosystem.
