  • Share successes and opportunities to challenge ourselves to achieve greener process design.
  • Implement green chemistry solutions through the supply chain

Focus Areas:
Green organic synthesis
Biotransformations and biological drug processing
Enabling technology platforms
Green chemistry for affordable medicine

Background:
The symposium series began in 2006 at McGill University, continued in 2008 at Yale University and will now be at the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 2010.  This year's program has confirmed keynote speakers Dr. Roger A. Sheldon, Professor Emeritus, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, and Dr. John C. Warner, President and CTO of Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry, USA.  Dr. Paul T. Anastas, Assistant Administrator of the Office of R&D of the US EPA is also currently scheduled to speak at our networking reception.  Other speakers represent industry and academia worldwide including Lonza, DSM, Pfizer, Bend Research Inc., Clinton Foundation, Howard University, University of Minnesota, McGill University, Syncore Laboratories, Novasep, Metler Toledo, and many more.

* 95% of survey respondents stated they would recommend the conference to others.
* 100% of survey respondents stated the symposium met their expectations.
* 95% of survey respondents stated they hope to attend a future symposium.
* "I was somewhat humbled to be among the extraordinarily high caliber of speakers and from which I gained
        very useful information."
* "This is the best Green Chemistry conference that I have attended."
* "In my view this has been an excellent opportunity for networking and benchmarking."
* "I enjoyed the conference very much; the discussions during breaks and receptions were very stimulating."
